How to install a script in VEGAS Pro

What is a script for?

A script automates a repetitive task in VEGAS Pro: cutting, aligning clips, applying an effect to the whole timeline… It comes as a .cs, .js or .vb file.

Install the script

1. Close VEGAS Pro.
2. Open the Documents\Vegas Script Menu folder (create it if it does not exist).
3. Copy the script file into this folder. If you received a ZIP archive, extract it first.
4. Restart VEGAS Pro.

Run the script

Go to Tools > Scripting: your script appears in the list. Click it to run it. You can also add it to a toolbar via Options > Customize Toolbar.

Not working?

• Check that the VEGAS Pro version shown on the product page matches yours.
• Some scripts need a .dll or .xml file next to them: copy the whole content of the archive.
• Ask the creator directly under the resource page.
